This place is located in the Hudson Highlands area, which has a lot of different hiking options. It is close to Breakneck Ridge, which I scrambled up on a foggy day in May of 2017. Look to your right for an unblazed trail that goes steeply uphill. The trail begins in dense woods, then onto more and more exposed rock, at which point you'll get a glimpse of the fire tower.
